Check and re-stick wallpaper seams in damp rooms
Find seams lifting in a bathroom or laundry room, glue them back and roll them flat. Damp behind the paper means a leak first.

Look along each seam, mostly near the tub or shower, the ceiling and the corners. Run a finger along it to feel edges that lift.
Lift the edge gently. Dry and clean behind it: carry on. Damp, stained or spotted: go to the last step.
Wipe old paste and dust from under the edge with a barely damp cloth, and let it dry.
Squeeze seam adhesive under the edge from its nozzle, or brush on a thin line.
Press the seam flat with a seam roller, from the middle out. Wipe off any glue that squeezes out with a damp sponge.
Run the bathroom fan during every shower and for a while after, so the seams stay down.
The wall is damp or stained behind the paper, black spots are spreading, or seams keep lifting: water is getting into the wall. Ask Handyman for a plumber first.
