Use one binder or box with a tabbed section for each kind of paper, kept somewhere dry and easy to grab.
Put in the deed or title, the purchase papers, the survey and the home inspection report.
Add the permits, inspection sign-offs and drawings for any work done, with who did it.
Add each machine's manual, receipt and warranty, with its model and serial number.
Add every service visit, repair invoice and upgrade, newest on top.
Add any radon, water or air test results, and any report on the older materials in the house and where they are.
Scan or photograph each page, keep a copy in the cloud, and send the scans to Handyman for your home's record.
A report that names asbestos, vermiculite or lead paint: leave those materials alone, and ask Handyman for a certified pro before any work near them.
What you need

Call a pro if
