Tap a step to watch it again.
Put a pan or a bucket under the drip, and lay towels around it.
Set the thermostat to Off, then turn off the switch on or near the unit.
If the switch or the floor around it is wet, switch off its breaker from a dry spot instead. From outside, see where it drips: a small drain hose, a pump or the base. Don't open the cabinet or reach in.
Leave it off, and ask Handyman for a heating and cooling pro to clear it.
What you need
- A pan or a bucket
- Towels
- A flashlight
Call a pro if
- Water keeps coming after the unit is off
- Water is near the unit's switch, an outlet or the electrical panel
