Daily safety check of an automatic door
Each day, walk up to it, stand in it and test it with a soft box: it should open in time, stay open while you're in it, close gently and stop or reopen when it touches something.

Check the floor is clear and dry, the guide at the bottom is in place, and the safety stickers are on the glass.
Walk up at a normal pace, from straight on and from the side. It should open in time, smoothly.
Stop in the doorway and wait. It must not close on you while you stand there.
As it closes, hold an empty cardboard box in its path at waist height. It should stop or open again as soon as it touches the box.
Never test it with your hand or body.It should close smoothly, not too fast, and without banging at the end.
Write it on the door's daily check sheet, with anything you noticed.
It hits the box, closes on you, moves too fast or won't open: set its switch to off or open as it allows, keep people clear, and ask Handyman for an automatic door technician.
